My friend Marla had one first. I couldn’t believe how clever the design was and I knew this was the perfect bike for me! Ideal for the bike path to metro linking.
Here they are unfolded… too cute for words. I busied myself suiting up with my very stylish bicycle helmet. And… we were ready to hit the road. The two of us both L.A. natives grew up with the L.A. river basically off limits. That’s were the boogie man lived and not where nice girls played.
So this is once again wonderful to have this beautiful path at our disposal. Marla commented, “it’s kind of like a world within a world”.
Egrets, Mallards. and Canadian Geese bathed in the river which was flowing strongly after our recent storm.
Today’s objective was to share this ride withMarla and locate the exact entrance to the L.A. River bike path on Riverside Drive. The entrance is located just north of the intersection of Riverside and Figueroa.
The Path is being lengthened all the way to N. Ave. 19 where it will tie into the green path at Spring and Broadway taking cyclists all the way into downtown. So exciting!! We met Cal Trans guys who were working on the extension.
